I’ve come to talk with you again. From a place of sadness called bottom of the table. Oh how the great have fallen in this disastrous year. Queen Elizabeth, Bob Sagat, Tom Brady’s face, my portfolio, a war in Ukraine, and now my playoff chances. But as the commissioner, I wipe the tears from my face, and get to work. Starting with:

Game of the Week

A matchup between two Week 1 winners gave us the “closest” matchup this week. Amon-Ra St. Brown led Challenge Me (Mark) to a win over Chipotle SteamingCleaver (Tyler) with a staggering 39.4 points. It was an okay showing for the rest of the players on their respective teams, what made this the game of the week is the 1 player impact. Not only was St. Brown in the flex position where he could have been easily substituted for another player resulting in a loss, BUT Tyler had Jaylen Waddle on the bench with 40.1 points! IF he would have started Waddle over any of his receivers/flex he would have dominated the game. After the game, I caught up with Mark, and this is what the coach had to say after the game:

“I would like to thank Amon-Ra the sun god for leading my team in points this week. But ultimately I would like to thank Tyler for leaving Jaylen Waddle on the bench for the win” - Challenge Me

Final Score: Challenge Me (121.86) to (104.48) Chipotle SteamingCleaver

Coach of the Week

Thee Captain Raider (Frank) showed this week why his 2nd round pick of Stefon Diggs was a no brainer. Diggs currently leads the league as the number 1 receiver averaging 35.9 points PER Game. And it doesn’t look like this is a fluke. He looks to be Josh Allen’s go-to receiver and is playing for a Bills team that doesn’t look like it can be slowed down. But not only does Frank have the current receiving stud, but he has an absolutely stunning lineup. He put up a week high 164.56 points!

Beast of the Week

Pretty much covered it, see above for my take on S. Diggs (44.8 pts) .

Honorable Mention: L. Jackson (42.6 pts) AND J. Waddle (lol)

Toilet Play of the Week

Tyler not playing J. Waddle lol

NCAL Upkeep

One Man Wolfpack coach, Bert, brought up a good way to communicate outside of traditional text messaging by using Telegram. With Telegram, you can set up a channel to communicate with everyone in the league without the iPhone vs Android debacle (that is totally Apples fault, but go ahead and continue buying their proprietary shit, albeit stylish shit). It also contains other features that make talking as a group slightly easier. He’s set up a channel for us already and should be sending out an invite soon.

F&$# You of the Week

  • Jose - for beating me and talking shit to my old team. How dare he.
  • Apple/iPhones - for being dicks about their proprietary messaging system instead of integrating RCS as the standard as it should be.
  • Frank - Oh, you know why
