This final stretch of the second half of the season is gonna be crucial for those fighting for the top 5 spots. Game of the Week
Bert and Tyler were the two highest scoring teams in the league for week 8. Unfortunately for them, they played against each other and one had to come out victorious! Victorious by the smallest of margins too! Despite having Patrick Mahomes out on a bye week, Bert managed to stay at the top of the league standings by defeating Tyler by only 0.58 of a point! Led by the #1 WR in Tyreek Hill (31.5 pts) and Derrick Henry (35.8 pts) against a formidable Jaylen Waddle (30.6 pts) and DJ Moore (27.5 pts). Both teams put up a whopping 163+ points which would have been enough to win against every other team in week 8. But sometimes that is just how the cookie crumbles in fantasy and one team takes the L. Bert now sits at the top of the league all by himself with the league best record of 7-1. I have one question for him though, is it lonely at the top just like it's lonely at the bottom?

Coach of the Week
Need to recognize the turnaround that Frank Jr. has made in the last few weeks. After starting 1-4 and rolling around in the muck with Jesse and I, he has now won 3 games on the bounce against all top opponents. Also impressive is his last minute free pickup of D’Onta Foreman which put up a nice 31.8 pts last week and looks poised to continue success without CMC around anymore. He has a very tough matchup against league leader Bert this week, is this just luck or a sign of tides turning?
Honorable Mention: Quang is actually on a 4 game win streak after losing his first 4. He’s been quietly doing it against not so great opponents (Jesse and I are two of his four wins lol). If he can defeat Frank this week, maybe there’s something here.
Beast of the Week
I can’t believe that I am actually writing this out. One of MY players is actually Beast of the Week? Yes, you heard right, one of my players didn’t fall to toilet players of the week or any of that nonsense, they actually put up more than 20 points for me and helped me win a game. That player is Sir Christian McCaffrey. Not only did he put up 40.26 fantasy points, but let's take a minute to discuss how he did it. He threw a touchdown pass (looked better than Jimmy imo), caught a beautiful fully stretched touchdown grab, and ran one in. The holy trifecta. Boy looked insane and unstoppable. I also just want to ignore the fact that he did it against the Rams, but I take solace in knowing that this only makes Niner fans more delusional in their hopes (some of them are even talking about SB hahaha). But I digress, CMC looks great for the Niners, looks great for fantasy, and would look great on your team! Still taking trade requests, looking for RB and WR/QB combo.
Toilet Play of the Week
There were no real toilet plays this week, some could have better optimized their final score but it wouldn’t have made a real difference. You guys did good. Don’t keep it up.
